Coffs Harbour

After our week on the Gold Coast we headed to Coffs Harbour to see Melissa and Stephen and the kids. Coffs Harbour is about 4 hours from the Gold Coast. We had a week there with them and it went way to fast! We really liked Coffs Harbour the weather was lovely and there was heaps to do there but it wasn't overly expensive like the Gold Coast!

Our favourite thing was the Pet Porpoise Pool we loved it and thought it was 10 times better than the dolphins at Sea World. We got to have a kiss from a dolphin and a seal they take your picture we did buy the pictures as a keepsake! the dolphins swim around in a pool so you can put your hand in and they swim up to you and and you can pat them. We also got to feed the seal - Summer wasn't keen on that so I had to do that for her! we really enjoyed the dolphin show. Emily also got to swim with the dolphins which she really enjoyed!

We went to the Butterfly House which the kids really enjoyed the girls loved it when the butterflies were landing on them, It was really hot in there though (like a hot house), the big banana have a few attractions a blow up waterslide park which was great for the little kids, we watched them make boiled lollies which was really cool we got to taste the boiled lollies while they were still hot it was really yummy!

Melissa, Emily and I went ice skating one night! that was lots of fun. I fell over in the middle of course and had to wait for Melissa to help me up! We had heaps of laughs that night!

We went to the Clog Barn and watched them make some clogs we tried some on and thought that they were very uncomfortable! and we had pancakes for lunch at Big Oma's Coffee House. They had a miniature model dutch village and it had working windmills and trains which the girls loved!

We decided to drive out to a water park which also had a go kart track and have a bbq lunch there - it was about half an hour drive in which we got lost! neither our GPS or Melissa's would let us put the address in we finally found it only to discover that they were closed down and didn't open until the following week! so we had a lovely country drive! we took the girls to the beach and park for a bbq lunch instead!

We took the kids to a indoor play centre called Tabatinga they had glow in the dark mini golf and Emily and Stephen and Shaun had fun playing the Ball Blaster it's an air cannon game where you had to blast targets. They also had a jungle gym area for the little kids. They had something for everyone which was really good

We had a great time and Summer had a great time with the girls unfortunately the time went way to quickly and before we knew it the week was over and it was time to head off.

Summer was sick one night during the week she woke up vomiting a few times. She was ok the next day but of course I got it to and was sick the night before we left so couldn't even eat my yummy meal that we went out for and spent the last night vomiting so the 4 and a half hour drive back to the Gold Coast was not good I had to get Shaun to pull over a few times! not nice! Poor little Ella got it to! so that was a bit of a dampner on the week but otherwise we had a great time and can't wait to see them next school holidays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
