Our first few days

Four days into our trip and we've had a pretty rocky start! we were getting organised Tuesday for the boat Tuesday night when we had to quickly rush out to the hospital to see Shaun's grandad who was unwell after much deliberation we decided to still leave Tuesday night so we said a very tearful and upsetting goodbye to Grandad not sure what would happen next. We left Tuesday night on the boat it was really hard saying goodbye to our friends and family. I was pretty upset and cried a lot! took me a while to stop. Summer went well on the boat and we arrived in Melbourne Wednesday morning. Not long after arriving Shaun's dad called to say his grandad had passed away Tuesday night :( so not a good start at all needless to say we were very upset and wished we had of postponed for a few days.



We stayed with friends Wednesday and Thursday night and Shaun flew home Friday for the funeral and Summer and I have stayed in Melbourne with friends. Shaun will be back Sunday so we will head off then or Monday towards Adelaide to pick up the van.



We have had dramas with the van!! on the way to Adelaide the awning ripped so it had to be booked into be fixed it was supposed to be ready Tuesday and we've just found out it won't be ready till Friday!! we aren't happy as now we will have to pay accommodation in the Adelaide area until then so that has put a big delay in our plans to get to QLD oh well I guess it's a good thing they have lots of nice wineries in that area!!



Fingers crossed that we will have a smoother run here on in.

My First Post :)

My first post on my new blog. I've never done this before so I have no idea what I am doing!! We leave for our trip in one week tomorrow. Once we are on the road I will update regluarly where we are what we have been doing. I'll also post some photos to keep you up to date on how we all are especially Summer. We are starting to get excited now still a bit nervous and scared but also excited about the adventure in front of us :)
